PlayabilityA member must establish a handicap with the WLPGA or another association. The member is to pay before play & must play by the USGA Rules. If she does not follow the Rules during a round, she must disqualify herself from the competition, but will still pay the sweeps.
A player may choose to take her allowed maximum score per hole (see “Equitable Stroke Control”) on any hole and disqualify herself from the competition.
Potential MembersA potential member is allowed to play at a Pro Shop discount on our regular play day for a reasonable number of times to be determined by TCOM.
No Show PolicyIf there is a member who is late for her tee time or is a “no show” on play days, TCOM will bring the matter to the Board, which will assess the situation and determine the consequences.
Local Rule: Distance Measuring DevicesA player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only. If during a stipulated round, a player uses a device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, elevation, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification, regardless of whether any such additional functions are actually used. Effective January 1, 2007.
Local Rule: Green side Sprinkler Heads Relief of Line of PlayIf a ball lies off the putting green (but not in a hazard) and an immovable obstruction—on or within 2 club-lengths of the putting green and within 2 club lengths of the ball— intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, player may take relief as follows: ball may be lifted, cleaned and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lies that is not (a) nearer the hole (b) avoids interference © not in a hazard or on the putting green.
Club Championship PolicyTo qualify for the CRWGC Championship you must: Have been a member for at least six months Have played at least 8 times on our Thursday play days since the previous year’s championship. (Note: all play days count regardless of posting) Rally for Hope and Strawberry Swing may be counted; Association Day and Team Play do may not be counted towards qualification rounds. The $10 entry is non-refundable and is due at signup. The deadline for signups is to be stipulated by the game supervisor.
President’s CupEntrants must be members of the CRWGC and have a current established handicap. It is not necessary to have a certain number of rounds prior to play in order to qualify.
Most-Improved PlayerRecognition will be given to the Most-Improved Player of the Month and the Most-Improved Player of the Year. A member must play at least once during the month on a recognized CRWGC play day to qualify for the monthly award and at least 15 times to qualify for the annual award which is given at the year end luncheon.
Rally For HopeTo participate in the Rally event, all entrants must have an established handicap number and play to a maximum 36 handicap. The type of play is determined by the Rally Committee.
